A mass-target real time localization system

The mass-target real time localization system has great potential applications. However, the indoor results in a complex radio environment; the people moving results in the time vary channel; and the mass people in the monitoring area cause the interference and collision. Therefore, there is a great challenge for deploying the low cost RF devices to implement high accurate localization system. In this paper we present a TWR (Two way ranging) based mass-target real time localization system — StarLOC and its solution including accurate location scheme and mass-target real time location scheme. StarLOC is applied in Park of the National New Media Industrial in Beijing, and the performance is test in the real field.
