Solid miniature silver-silver chloride electrodes for chronic implantation.

Abstract This report describes a simple method for constructing miniature non-polarizable electrodes suitable for chronic implantation in laboratory animals. The favorable electrical characteristics of the electrodes are described and an example of records obtained from an implanted cat is presented which demonstrates long-term reliable monitoring of DC potentials from the brain.
