Driving control device for industrial vehicles

A driving control device for an industrial vehicle which produces no speed change shock when the driving direction is switched from a forward / reverse selecting element to the opposite direction during the running of the vehicle, comprising a sensor for detecting a selected forward / backward direction, detects the selected direction of travel a transmission having a forward clutch and a reverse clutch that switches the driving direction between the forward direction and the backward direction, and that transmits the drive torque of the engine to the drive wheels via the clutches, a brake which brakes the vehicle, a vehicle speed sensor which detects the vehicle speed detected, and a control means which gradually brakes the vehicle by means of the brake, when the selected direction of travel, which has been detected is switched, and the engaging force of the forward or reverse clutch according to the selected driving direction and the braking force of the brake before the detected vehicle speed reaches zero controls, whereby the decelerating torque and acceleration torque can be controlled so as to the variation in the acceleration by the time at which the direction of travel is reversed attenuated ,
