Prospect and state on power system low frequency oscillation and the prospect

From the four aspects of low frequency oscillation principle, analytical methods, affecting factors, and control policy, the author summaries the study status of low frequency oscillation and analyses the progress research in the field. According to the actual power system in the new characteristics of low frequency oscillation appear, and puts forward the mechanism of low frequency oscillation problem, namely: low frequency oscillation research needs to solve problems. In addition to this, combining with the accomplishment in others fields, such as: control subject, Structural power subject, electronic technology etc, the paper is concerned about new thinking about analytical methods and control policy for low frequency oscillation, such as: modal analysis method, synchronized phasor measurement technique, energy storage technique.
