Bending Sensor Based on a Compact Microfiber Probe

A miniature bending sensor based on a microfiber probe is proposed and demonstrated. By monitoring the intensity of reflection spectrum, a curvature sensitivity of 1.1 06dBlm−1 and a large measurement range o.f 0-11.825m−1 are demonstrated.
