The new method of calculation sum and difference histogram for quantized data

Abstract This article describes the new method of two-sample-sum and two-sample-difference of quantized data histogram calculation. The method minimizes the influence of quantizer nonlinearity and quantization on the histogram that is being obtained. The authors concentrated on applying this method for time-interval histogram calculation. Two different kinds of tests that confirm the usefulness of described method and correctness of its implementation have been performed. The first test relates to synthetically generated data, while the second one has been made for physically measured time-stamps.
