FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) implements image pre-processing, including single point NUC (non-uniformity correction)and Two point NUC, bad pixels replace of neighboring pixels, self-adjusting image enhancement, 3×3 median filter, double-threshold value canny operator edge detection and the image binary. DSP implements target detection, tracking and remove the interrupt by using the apparent horizon detection, the frame difference, region-grow, and multi-information fusion algorithms. It uses FPGA with DSP to work together, dividing the work clear and definite, and realize convenience, less volume of hardware, high speed of image processing. It can get 9ms with frequency of 100Hz for 640×512 IR images, it has strong practical value.
