A Procedure to Correct for Anomalies in Estimating the Time Averaged Stored Energy of a BAW Resonator from its S11 Parameters

The quest to find a formula to estimate a resonator's frequency-dependent Time Averaged Stored Energy (TASE) from its S11 parameters (and incident power level) continues. TASE has value in that it is the key ingredient for computing Q factor. TASE is also an indicator of which incident frequencies are most susceptible to causing damage. This paper provides a method by which the accuracy of the TASE formula is improved over past TASE formula's and we propose that it be widely adopted for use by the BAW community.
