Generation of feeder bus routes for urban rail transit has a direct effect on the operation efficiency of rail transit line.In order to obtain the optimal configuration strategy of feeder bus routes,an route generation optimization model of which the objective functions are to minimize the number of feeder bus routes and to maximize the feeder passenger volume is proposed,for solving this model,an advanced genetic algorithm is formulated.Feeder bus routes planning strategy for two rail transit stations at Line 5 of Beijing Subway,Songjiazhuang and Liujiayao,is taken as an example,then the conclusion has been drawn: The maximal transportation capacity of feeder bus routes could reach at 205 persons per km per hour when 6 feeder routes are set for these two rail transit stations.
