The invention discloses a splicing type head-mounted display device, which comprises a plurality of display channels, wherein the display channels are positioned in front of human eyes and distributed relative to gazing directions of the human eyes symmetrically; and an exit pupil center of each display channel is positioned at the eye pupil center of each human eye, and overlapping parts of the adjacent display channels are combined together by adopting a method of splicing after cutting. The splicing type head-mounted display device can be applied to virtual reality and augmented reality, has the advantages of large exit pupil diameter, long exit pupil distance, large field angle, uniform image plane illumination and small F value, is composed of optical components all of which consist of spherical lenses, and adopts the cutting and splicing method, so that the display device is compact in structure, easy to process and convenient adjust.
