Kinetically Enhanced Bubble-Exfoliation of Graphite toward High-Yield Preparation of High-Quality Graphene

Scalable preparation of high-quality graphene with high efficiency is of great significance for many practical applications. Herein, we propose kinetically enhanced bubble exfoliation of graphite to prepare graphene in one pot. Graphene (≤10 atomic layers) of large size (average sheet area of 54.7 µm2) and high quality (average hole mobility up to 554.8 cm2 v-1 s-1) accounts for up to 90.8% of the product without extra screening process, exhibiting evident advantage over conventional bubble-exfoliation methods. Further mechanism analyses highlight the significance of the two-step strategy, i.e., pre-intercalation and subsequent intensified bubble generation manipulated by temperature, for highly efficient bubble exfoliation in one pot.
