Range Resolution Enhancement with Multiple Sar Surveys Combination

Across-track resolution of spaceborne SAR system is limited by power and data rate constraints. The practical limit to the slant range resolution of present-day spaceborne SAR systems (i.e., SEASAT, ERS-1, JERS-1) is 7-8 meters. In this paper we derive and discuss a new technique for increasing the acrosstrack resolution of objects that do not change with time, using multiple surveys of the same area from different off-nadir angles.
