Selective solubility of some silver-chalcogenide glasses

The kinetics of the selective solubility of amorphous films from the Se-S-Ag and Se-Te-Ag systems were investigated. The illumination with UV light caused structural changes and photodarkening in these films. One negative effect of photostimulated selective dissolution after interaction with KOH or K2Cr 2 O 7 and H 2 SO 4 was observed. The Se-S-Ag glasses dissolved better in KOH and best results were reached for Se 80 S 5 Ag 15 . The best results for the Se-Te-Ag system were obtined by a dissolution in a mixture from K 2 Cr 2 O 7 and H 2 SO 4 for Se 85 Te 5 Ag 10 .
