Technology,application and development of microfluidics

Microfluidics is widely used in fields as biochemical analysis,disease diagnosis,minimally invasive surgery,and environmental monitoring.Key technologies in microfluidics are design and manufacturing of the microchannel structures,driving and control of micro-and nano-scale fluid flows,and integration and packaging of microfluidic devices and systems.In this paper,present status,applications,and prospected development of the microfluidic technology are reviewed.Meso-scale transport theory of multiphase microflows and properties of cross-scale fluids are proposed to be the hotspots in future research.
