Overview of Zigbee as a Wireless Communication System

Zigbee is a wireless technology which was developed by the Sigbee Alliance to cover some sort of limitation of BLUETOOTH and Wi-Fi. It is an IEEE 802.15.4 standard for data communication purpose in business and consumer devices. It is designed such that it uses low-power which allowing batteries to essentially last forever and long battery life.  Basically the  BLUETOOTH was developed to replace wires  for communication   and Wi-Fi to achieve  high data transfer rate, but after these two wireless technology   till now nothing has been developed for sensor networking and  for controlling of l machines without wires  which require longer battery life and  do continuous working without human intervention in controlling of machine. Zigbee device allows batteries to last up to years using primary cell (low cost) without any chargers (Low cost and easy installation).
