A Bridgeless PFC Boost Rectifier With Optimized Magnetic Utilization

The implementation of a bridgeless power factor correction (PFC) boost rectifier with low common-mode noise is presented in this paper. The proposed implementation employs a unique multiple-winding, multicore inductor to increase the utilization of the magnetic material. The operation and performance of the circuit were verified on a 750-W, universal-line experimental prototype operating at 110 kHz.
