System and method for reserving an electric charging station

A method for reserving a vehicle charging station comprises that a desired destination is received and the availability of an intended station is automatically verified to an expected arrival time. The method further includes that the proposed station is reserved, if the designated station to the expected arrival time is available and that an electronic coupon is transmitted to the client device. The voucher confirms the reservation and identifies the vehicle unique. A system for reserving the station comprises a server in communication with the station and a customer device, which is designed to transmit a desired destination to the server. The server automatically verifies the availability of the intended loading station to an expected time of arrival at the desired destination, the designated reserved station when it is available to the expected arrival time, and then generates the voucher and transmits it to the client device.
