Louis Grivetti is Professor of Nutrition and currently Interim Chair of the Graduate Program in Geography at the University of California, Davis. He conducts research on human dietary patterns, using historical and contemporary perspectives, especially among African, Mediterranean, and Southeast Asian societies and ethnic populations in the United States. He is co-author with W. J. Darby and P. Ghalioungui of the award-winning book: Food: The Gift of Osiris (Academic Press, 1979).
