Realization of Distributed Interactive Simulation by Vega and VR-Link

Virtual Reality and Distributed Simulation are two pop technologies used in military training and simulation. Routine way to implement an HLA application is by calling RTI APIs, but it is always fussy and fallible. In this paper, VR-Link is taken as a development tool for HLA and Vega is chosen as a graphic engine. The flow chart and the implementation of the HLA-based training application are described in detail. Result of operational experiments shows that this is an easy, vivid and effective way for the realization of Distributed Interactive Simulation.
