This proceedings consists of summary papers for the thirty-six technical sessions of the 6th ASCE Specialty Conference on Probabilistic Mechanics, and Structural and Geotechnical Reliability. A wide range of subjects are covered. Theoretical papers include linear and nonlinear random vibrations, reliability analyses, random fields, system identification and optimization techniques, stochastic control, wave and crack propagations, earthquake modeling, and some contemporary topics in the theory of random processes. Engineering systems analyzed include bridges, offshore structures, buildings and foundations while steel, concrete, masonry, clay and soil, and woods are some of the materials considered. Loads on these engineering systems vary from earthquake, wind, traffic, and even those related to construction activities. In addition, a variety of numerical techniques are included such as stochastic finite element, importance sampling and Monte Carlo simulation. While approaches used by the authors are often interdisciplinary, they all share some common threads of probability and statistics.
