Random Model and Harmonic Current Calculation of Arc Furnace Based on Measured Data

The paper introduced a kind of time domain model for harmonic analysis of arc furnace. The model is based on the volt-ampere property of the AC arc,and the relevant parameters of the volt-ampere property curve of arc furnace are obtained on the basis of the data of actual measurement using statistical technology. The current calculation and harmonic analysis for arc furnace were carried out based on using sectional linearization method to simulate the volt-ampere property of the arc furnace. The major random factors affected on working condition of arc furnace were considered in calculation,and random analysis model for arc furnace was established. The 12 500 kVA arc furnace in a steel mill was analyzed,the analysis result and the data of actual measurement has very good consistency.
