Osteosclerosis in sarcoidosis.

SUMMARY An Australian Caucasian male with asymptomatic osteosclerotic lesions of sarcoidosis is described. Three other patients who have been reported to have these changes were Negroes. Ribs, clavicles, vertebrae, pelvis and proximal long bones were involved with sparing of the extremities and skull. This form of sarcoidosis appears late in the natural history of the disease and seems unresponsive to corticosteroids.
