Voice packet scheduling method for wireless local area network

A scheduling method of a wireless WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) system is provided to classify terminals according to required services and determine whether to poll terminals, requesting a delay-sensitive traffic service, according to traffic generation patterns of the terminals, thereby minimizing average packet delay and a dropping probability even in a high-load environment. A scheduling method comprises the following steps of: classifying terminals into delay-sensitive terminals and delay-insensitive terminals according to traffic types of the terminals(S310); setting the initial value and maximum value of a poll failure counter for each delay-sensitive terminal(S320); performing a poll process for each delay-sensitive terminal(S330); determining whether there is a terminal of which the present value of the poll failure counter is less than the maximum value(S340); and if not so, sequentially performing the poll process for the delay-sensitive terminals and the delay-insensitive terminals(S350).
