Technique of DSP optimization on fractional-pixel-accuracy motion estimation

The reason of excessive data cache miss was analyzed during the fractional-pixel-accuracy motion estimation,and then a new reference picture data storage approach was proposed for quarter-pixel-accuracy motion estimation,which was able to remarkably decrease the data cache miss comparing with the current techniques.By this approach,the quar-ter-pixel-accuracy motion estimation was implemented with high computational efficiency and high data transmission ef-ficiency.
