Improved DV-HOP Algorithm to WSN Node Localization on Transmission Line

Transmission lines on-line monitoring is one of the most important issues in power system. This paper studied the nodes localization algorithm on transmission line and put forward an improved DV-HOP algorithm in one-dimensional and two-dimensional. The algorithm combined the characteristic of wireless sensor network nodes on transmission line non symmetrical and linear distribution and the node combination to calculate accurately the distance between unknown and anchor nodes,and achieved the position of unknown nodes by three sides algorithm. Results show that the improved DV-HOP algorithm makes the wireless sensor network node location error restrained and achieves higher position accuracy,which is more suitable for WSN localization on transmission line.
