Simulation of DC to DC Converter using Single Phase Matrix Converter topology

This paper presents the operation of Single-Phase Matrix Converter (SPMC) as DC to DC Converter. The principle of Boost DC to DC converter and Four quadrant DC to DC Converter are presented. The output is being synthesized using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique. Simulation model were developed using MATLAB/Simulink (MLS) and PSPICE to study the behavior of proposed technique. Results from Power System Block Set (PSB) simulation are compared with those obtained from PSPICE to ascertain its validity. Selected simulation results are presented to verify the operation.
