The comparison of tuning algorithms used in Petersen coil model

This paper presents the issue of the control units used for tuning of Petersen coil. Utilization of specific algorithm is given by certain application assumptions. Generally, it is possible to say that all algorithms can contribute to reducing of the fault current size. The size of the fault current is different depending on the adverse effects and the algorithm used. This also influences the time that is needed for algorithm to determine the tuned state, i.e. the state with the smallest fault current. The simulation models are created for the specific algorithms. The results are the characteristics presenting the tuning of the Petersen coil in case of earth fault in specific distance from the start of the power line.
