Wi-Fi Antenna Array Based on a Mixed Configuration

A new design of patch antenna array is presented, with a convenient size and performance for wireless local area networks (WLAN) applications. The proposed antenna was designed for 2.4 GHz. The simulation is performed using the software FEKO. The array is based on rectangular and triangular geometries. According to simulations results, the gain and reflection coefficient at 2.4 GHz makes this antenna suitable for indoor and outdoor uses.
