Study on the Durability of Water-lubricated Guiding Bearing for Pump

The durability of water-lubricated guiding bearing for a pump depended on the wear resistance of bearing bush.Using rubber-supporting guiding bearing as sample,the factors influencing the wear rate of the bearing bush were analyzed.And the formula to determine the wear rate was established accordingly.Taking one pump station for example,the spans and density functions of the factors influencing wear rate were determined.The durability theory based on reliability of the guiding bearing was set up,and the service life based on reliability of the water-lubricated rubber guiding bearing was calculated.The results indicated that the sediment concentration of lubricating water has pronounced influence on the wear rate of the rubber-supporting bearing bush.The service life with 95% reliability was 4.2 years for the bearing lubricated with clean water.When the sediment concentration was 0.15%,the service life with 95% reliability was as low as 0.5 year.The results were crucial to determine the lubricant and repairing period of water-lubricated guiding bearing,and could prompt the reliability and durability of water-lubricated guiding bearing.
