Effect of Imperfect Channel Knowledge on the MIMO Channel Outage Capacity

In previous works, we studied the effect of imperfect channel knowledge at the receiver on the ergodic capacity of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) channels. In particular, we developed a lower bound on the mutual information and a lower bound on the ergodic capacity as a function of the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB). In this work, our aim is to find similar results with the outage capacity. Actually, we find a lower bound on the outage capacity. We also compare the effect of different MIMO channel estimation methods on the outage capacity
