Research on Monitor Position in Network Situation Assessment

When people perform network situation assessment, they set network monitor on every node in the network. However, this method wastes a lot of resource. There is no need to monitor every node in the network. In fact, only a few nodes are enough. This paper gives a method to choose suitable nodes in the network to perform situation assessment. These nodes can cover necessary edges in the network graph. We also perform some evaluations and the results show that our methods are effective in network situation assessment.
