Research on reactive power compensation criterion program for a new type of rural power station transformer monitor and measurement terminal

In order to meet the requirements of building a strong smart grid,due to the shortcomings of function and cost of the present rural power station transformer,a new type of rural power station transformer monitor and measurement terminal is designed.It has advantages of multifunction,high integration and low cost.For improving the backward state of the existing control method of reactive power compensation in rural power grids,three new criteria for reactive power compensation scheme are put forward and discussed,namely,the voltage(U),the voltage/reactive power(Q) and the voltage/power factor(PF),and their technical features and application conditions are analyzed and compared.The result proves that the new criterion is better than the traditional method of nine region plot.At last,through the terminal prototype testing,the reasonableness and effectiveness of the three new criteria are verified.
