GEOMETRIC TOOLS FOR AN OBSERVER-BASED APPROACH TO RESIDUAL GENERATION

This paper emphasizes on the basic geometric tools necessary for the design of a failure diagnosis system, where the diagnosis is based on the residual generation by using elementary observers. In order to improve the sensitivity of the residuals, various methodologies are proposed. A realization over a physical example is presented.
