CT and MR studies of methylmalonic acidemia.

In our case, immediately after the onset of the disease, MR showed the cytotoxic edema affecting the pallidal nuclei bilaterally, characterized by low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on T2-weighted images. The neuroradiologic follow-up showed the progressive changes of necrosis in these lesions
