FEM Analysis and Testing of a 4-cylinder Diesel Engine Block

A finite element solid model of some diesel engine cylinder blocks is established and FEM analysis of the diesel engine blocks of this type is made using ANSYS software,obtaining the first 10 vibration models of the diesel engine blocks.Based on the characteristic of the first 4 vibration models,a corresponding structural dynamic property testing plan is designed to test the dynamic performance of the engine blocks.The results show that the test values and finite element analysis values match well and the finite element model is of high accuracy.The calculation scheme adopted reasonably reflects the vibration of the engine blocks,therefore of practical value.
