Sera collected from residents of Jamaica in 1956 were examined for presence of antibodies to arthropod-borne viruses by haemagglutination-inhibition, neutralization and complement-fixation tests. No evidence was found of immunity to viruses of Group A or C or to Bunyamwera virus. A large proportion of sera were positive for St. Louis or dengue virus or both.
