Determining friction factor by optimization method

Development of software packages, which enables simulation of deformation process, opened wide opportunities in determining friction factor and trough that contributed quality rising end lower costs. This paper occupies itself with problem of determining factor of contact friction, where the techno-economic process optimization is done, by using Box-Wilson's gradient method. The paper gives experimental points of determining friction factor by compress ring method (Ring Test), for alloy AlMgSi0,5 on specified temperatures and numerical simulations have been done in program package DEFORM 2D. Great improve has been done, refer to classical friction factor determining, by using this program package.
