Efficient analysis of microstrip antenna mounted on helicopter using CBFM

The analysis of a microstrip antenna mounted on a lager platform is a challenging problem for computational electromagnetics methods. In this paper, the characteristic basis function method (CBFM) is applied to calculate the problems, the original SWG and RWG basis functions are replaced by constructed characteristic basis functions (CBFs), so that the computation resources can be reduced, and at the same time, the convergence characteristics can be improved. At last, a microstrip antenna mounted on helicopter is analyzed in the paper, the efficiency of the algorithm is also demonstrated.
