Holter system development for recording plantar pressures: design and instrumentation

A Holter type, microprocessor based, portable, in-shoe, plantar pressure data acquisition system has been developed. The system allows continuous recording of plantar pressures during normal daily activity from up to fourteen discrete sensor locations. The system was evaluated during multiple trials with adult male subjects. Results indicated that system performance was sufficiently acceptable for further clinical applications and long term study of daily living activities.<<ETX>>
