Lightpath provisioning in wavelength switched optical networks with flexible grid

An effective lightpath provisioning is proposed for PCE-based optical networks with flexible grid. The expected modulation formats at 400 Gb/s are considered showing that 12.5 GHz spacing is satisfactory to guarantee efficient network resource utilization.
