Transmission line and resonance technique in cylindrical fibers of circular asymmetry

The method of the transmission line is been applied to the case of cylindrical fibers whose refractive index is changing not only according to the distance from the core center but also according to the angle on the circle formed by the fiber cross section. The mathematical analysis provides relations that can be used to derive the fiber's mode propagation constants. Results are produced further in the paper and compared to equivalent results from existing methods as measure of accuracy.
