Method and Device for Providing Contents which is Able to Detect User's Preference

PURPOSE: A device and a method for supplying contents are provided to supply contents adapted to user's tendency through an E-mail continuously. CONSTITUTION: A web server(12) supplies a homepage and contents information to a user through the Internet and receives requesting information from the user. A user database(17) stores personal information of the user, contents information which was supplied to the user, contents reading time information, and user's tendency information. The user database(17) is also updated in accordance with a user's reading time with respect to supplied contents continuously. A contents database(16) stores contents information being supplied to the user. A contents creating unit(14) extracts contents adapted to a user's tendency stored in the user database(17) from the contents database(16), creates contents to be supplied to the user, and inserts a program code for transmitting information with respect to an execution time and a termination time in the case that the user executes and terminates contents into the created contents. An E-mail transmitting unit(15) transmits the contents created in the contents creating unit(14) to the user through E-mail. In the case that the user executes or terminates the transmitted contents, a contents execution sensing unit(13) receives information with respect to an execution time and a termination time transmitted by a program code and calculates a contents reading time of the user.
