A crosstalk mitigation algorithm for OFDM-carrying OAM multiplexed FSO links

In this paper, we experimentally demonstrate the performance of crosstalk mitigation for 16QAM-OFDM-carrying OAM multiplexed FSO links by using the pilot assisted Least Square (LS) algorithm. Crosstalk is introduced by demodulation holograms with random turbulent phase screen at the demodulation SLMs. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can efficiently improve the quality of constellations and reduce the bit-error rate (BER), and ∼10 dB sensitivity improvement is obtained.
