High performance analog to digital converter architectures

A tutorial introduction to data conversion is given. The topic is approached by presenting representative analog-to-digital converter architectures. Sample/hold and digital-to-analog converter architectures are also shown. These architectures tend to be more commonly implemented with bipolar technology, but the principles are general. Some intuitive motions concerning sampling theory are given to facilitate understanding of the data conversion environment. The treatment is directed toward engineers and scientists who do not routinely work with data conversion.<<ETX>>
