Resources for changing schools: Ideas in and for practice

It is usual at this stage of an edited collection to attempt to summarize, in the sense of unifying and signing off, the preceding evidence and arguments. This would be inappropriate in view of the rich and diverse experiences and innovative and critical thinking represented in earlier chapters. We prefer to see this final chapter as a response rather than a conclusion, and one that will undoubtedly open up further debate and action. We will draw out from the chapters some of the implications for changing schools in socially just ways and towards a richer and wider democratic citizenship, and point to some other important matters.
