Remote Sensing of Atmospheric Trace Constituents Using Mid-IR Fourier Transform Spectrometry

The impact of industrial and agricultural human activities on the environment has now reached such proportions that even global scale effects are clearly observed. These activities lead to a steady growth in the atmospheric abundance of several radiatively and chemically active trace gases which influence the greenhouse effect as well as tropospheric and stratospheric ozone.
