Method for generating sketch image and display apparaus applying the same

PURPOSE: A sketch video producing method and display device applying the same are provided to control the output brightness value of a specific pixel according to the input brightness value of a specific pixel. CONSTITUTION: An electronic frame selects a specific pixel(S230). The electronic frame selects a pixel block(S240). The electronic frame calculates a representative value of the pixel block(S250). In case the representative value is greater than a specific threshold value, the electronic frame compares an input brightness value with the representative value(S260, S270). In case the input brightness value is bigger than the central value, the electronic frame controls the output brightness value of the specific pixel to the maximum brightness value(S273).
