Clarity Algorithm of Images in the Fog and Application

This paper proposes a new fog images clarity algorithm which is based on the combination of wavelet transform, top-hat transform and bottom-hat transform. This algorithm also processes the sky region separated out. Experimental results demonstrate that the contrast and clarity of images are much improved after they are processed by the algorithm proposed in this paper, and it effectively reduces the gray and blocking effect which arise in the sky region, and it improves the visual quality of the whole image.
