Concerns for Environmental Issues and Consumer Purchase Preferences

During the recent decades, consumers have awakened to the danger about deterioration of the earth's environment. The problem with the depletion of the ozone layer is already familiar, yet this problem is only one of many others which are affecting the environment which people live in. As a result, consumers are becoming more interested in purchasing environmentally friendly products, and marketers are delivering more "green" products. This study examines concerns for environmental issues and the purchase behaviors of consumers in Canada and Hong Kong. In addition, an investigation of the relationships between purchase behaviors and demographics among the two sample groups is also presented.
