Theoretical Prediction and Orthogonal Experiments Analysis on the Drawing Load of Cup-Drawing

Orthogonal experimentswere carried outto investigate the main technologicalfactorsinfluencing the maximum drawing load in cup- drawing and the following conclusions were drawn:the most notable factor to affect the maximum drawing load is the type of lubricants and the second is the radius of the die arc,then the blank- holder pressure and the radius of the punch arc. Based on Hill's anisotropic theory,a new theoretical formula was derived to compute the maximum drawing load and then theoretical curves showing the calculated variation of the maximum drawing load as a function of the relative factors were given. The calculated results agree well with the experimental data,so itis valuable in practice.
